Singing software has been around for nearly twenty years, but in the last three years a new breed of technology has won the approval of top voice teachers around the world. One of the biggest problems with teaching students is that correcting pitch problems is nearly impossible. A few tools and techniques could be taught, but basically students have a problem hearing their own voice accurately and are unable to make corrections. Part of the success may be due to focused attention, while researchers currently belief that real time visual feedback may be deciding factor. Regardless of the reason, voice teachers are embracing this new technology in their studios and encouraging students to use the software in the daily practices.
